MOMIX, based in Washington, CT, is a company of dancer-illusionists internationally renowned for its imaginative, inventive, and visually stunning style that blends acrobatics and gymnastics, mime and illusion, inventive props, costumes, and light/shadow effects.
It was founded in 1981 by Moses Pendleton, who is the artistic director. He and MOMIX draw inspiration from the natural world (plants, animals, minerals), using the human body to create surreal and spectacular non-human imagery. Learn more here.
The Bantam Cinema reopened as the nonprofit Bantam Cinema & Arts Center in October 2021. The first public movie showings under the new non-profit were on Halloween weekend. To learn more and see the current schedule of movies, visit the website.
