Plein Air Litchfield is offering artists free practice sessions at some of the town’s most scenic locations starting this Sunday, May 25, at Meadow Ridge Farm on Beach Street, followed by these upcoming sessions:
June 22 at Topsmead State Forest
July 20 at Ripley Waterfowl Conservancy
Sept. 14 at The White Memorial Conservation Center
The practice sessions are geared in part toward those who would like to prepare for a community βQuick Drawβ competition to be held later in the Fall after the main Plein Air Litchfield competition. The practice sessions are free and open to artists of all skill levels to come and sketch or paint, but no instruction will be provided. Artists should bring an easel and art supplies, and paint at their own risk.
See the practice sessions page for details.
The second Plein Air Litchfield painting festiva takes place September 30 – October 5. Artists will be painting Litchfield’s most scenic locations, their artwork will be exhibited in town, and the festival will wrap up with a gala where prizes will be handed out and the paintings created in town will be for sale. Head to the Plein Air Litchfield website to learn more.
