Do you enjoy graphic design, drawing, or painting? Litchfield’s Coordinating Committee for America’s 250th is holding a logo competition to create a shared visual identity for our community’s commemoration of this historic anniversary.

After reviewing the submitted designs, the Committee will put forward a group of finalists so that members of the public can vote for their favorite design. The logo competition is open to all residents of Litchfield, Morris, Warren, and Goshen, as well as individuals connected to organizations, institutions, businesses, and other groups in those towns. A prize will be awarded to the winning designer.

Designing and Using the Logo:

  • All submitted designs must include the name “Litchfield” and the number “250”; additional text is left up to the artist. The Committee can provide examples of other towns’ 250th logos, if requested.
  • Each design must be submitted as a digital image (JPG or PDF), but can either be digitally-generated or a physical artwork that has been scanned or photographed. The winning design must be submitted as an Adobe Illustrator (AI) or EPS file. The committee can assist the winning artist in the creation of these files.
  • Participants may only submit one design for the competition.
  • The winning logo will be used to promote events and programs related to the commemoration of America’s 250th between 2024 and 2026, and may also be included on printed materials and merchandise created by the Committee or its members. The logo will be made available to all Litchfield area organizations, institutions, businesses, and other groups who are planning events and programs connected to the 250th commemoration.

Submitting Your Design:

  • Please send a JPG or PDF of your logo to logo@litchfieldpatriots.org by February 16, 2024.
  • The Committee will announce the winning design in April 2024.
